Our First Fair

It's been awhile since I've posted. I've had a little sinus infection that gave me some trouble this past week. I'm feeling better now and my mom and I are getting ready for our first fair tomorrow!
It should be interesting since we've never done this before. The information for the fair is on my
myspace page if you are interested.

I've recently done a fun, spur of the moment, photo shoot of Auggee who is a Border Terrier and is the bearer of the puppy teeth for my puppy teeth earring designs. He's is 6 months old now!

We didn't have much to work with at the animal hospital besides some towels at first.

But we grabbed some surgical drapes and a surgical lamp and here you go!

Have a great weekend!!

Corkscrew Earrings

This is a fun, unique earring design that are nearly impossible to fall out!
It takes some getting used to the way you have to get them into your ears but once they are in the are there to stay! (until you take them out of course!)
These are the only pair I have left! I need to get cracking and make some more because they all sold out before I could get pictures taken.
These are made with Emerald Swarovski Crystals (May's birthstone) but they can be made with just about any kind of small bead. I've even made a few with out any beads and just hammered the wire for a cool modern look.

Ever wonder how to wear a Lariat?

I've started making Lariat necklaces so far just out of either suede or microsuede with clusters of Swarovski crystals and gemstone beads on each end. I'm always being asked how you where the things. Well, I've got a few ideas here. I'm sure there are more but it is a good start.
Here to the left are a couple examples on how I like to where them. I fold it in half and loop the ends through. Another way is like a scarf where you wrap the middle of the necklace around your neck and bring the ends around either side and just put the ends in a loose know like on the left.

If you like really long necklaces you can just hang it around your neck and let it hang long with a loose knot in it.

There are many ways to wear these. You can even where them as a belt!!

These necklaces are really fun to wear and they are really unique! You can make them as dressy or as casual as you like!

Fun with Photoshop

I am so amazed how much time I've been spending on the computer lately! I've been working with photoshop to make a watermark to put on my photos. Now that I've been uploading a lot of my photos onto the web I wanted to protect them. Here's one of my eclipse pictures with my watermark on it. I'm also trying to figure out some kind of logo for Zurick Designs. I'm not much of a Graphic Designer and Photoshop is always a challenge for me most of the time. I just end up getting a headache! At least I've got a watermark for now! I do have some new items that I do need to start taking pictures of. They should be coming soon!
