After just coming home from beautiful Pensacola, Florida I want to cherish the memories of our trip. I did a lot of searching for shells and sand dollars while at the beach and I came across 3 tiny sand dollars so I decided I want to wire wrap them so I can wear them as jewelry.

Smokey Quartz Earrings and Necklace
Here's an earring and necklace set made for a woman I work with. She had gotten these three brown stones free in St Martin at one of their jewelry stores. I'm going to say they are smokey quartz but I'm not totally sure. She has already purchased a smokey quartz and goldfilled wire ring from me and wanted some jewelry to go with it. I thought I would use brass wire to keep costs down so instead of making earrings and a pendant, I incorporated the stone into a whole necklace. As an accent color I used some Aquamarine Swarovski crystals. Here is what I came up with and I'm hoping she likes it! She hasn't seen them yet.

Hammer Silver Ring and Leather Necklace
I finally got around to getting the torch out again this summer inbetween baseball ending and school starting. I fused fine silver rings together and hammered them out flat and gave them texture. I thought leather would go great with the silver so I made one in brown and one in black. I just love this design that I think I'm going to keep one for myself !

New Item!
I can't believe it's almost the middle of July already! Summer's half over and baseball season for the kids is finishing up fast! I managed to wrap one piece within the last few weeks. I've had this Norwegian Moonstone for a while and I wanted to do something unique for such a unique stone. Here's what I came up with.

Blue Topaz Rondelle Ring
Along with the turquoise ring from the last post I also created a blue topaz rondelle ring wire wrapped in sterling silver. It's hard to see the blue in this picture. They are a subtle sky blue.
Tantalizing Turquoise
Here's a few different styles of turquoise jewelry I've created. This is actually my first time working with turquoise and I'm really getting attached to it! The variations in this stone are incredible! No two stones are alike. Anyway, first I wire wrapped turquoise cabochons in sterling silver wire and added some turquoise and sterling beads and connected them to thick Greek leather cord to create a bracelet and choker set. I wire wrapped a sterling silver and turquoise ring to match. I next created a bracelet and necklace with turquoise and sterling silver beads attached to thinner greek leather cord for a little different look. Last I wire wrapped some turquoise rondelles with sterling wire to make a fun little ring.

New Additions Added!
Now that the Holidays are over I can do some catching up!I have created a batch of Swarovski crystal cluster earrings a while ago but I have just got them on the website. Here are a few examples of what I've made. A few different colors using both Swarovski crystals and pearls.
So much to do with so little time! I'm in the process of the year end inventory, taking pictures of new designs, some designs have already had their pictures taken but still need to be added to the website. These earrings were a part of that stash. How did I get so far behind??
New Year's Resolution for 2009....Try to stay caught up!Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself. Everytime I get motivated to get stuff done I get sick. Well, I'm just getting over yet another cold so hopefully I'm out of the woods with this one. I'm just getting my energy back now after a week of having none.
Well anyway, enjoy the new additions and I will hopefully have more coming soon! Busy! Busy! Busy!!!

I just found the video making program on my computer! It's so easy and so much fun that I quick made a video slide show of my jewelry to show on youtube. It's been suggested to get on youtube to help advertise but I didn't know exactly what to post. I don't think I'm ready for tutorials yet. I think whatever tutorial video I could make is already out there. Then I discovered the video maker and it gave me the idea to showcase my photos in a video format for everyone to enjoy!
Here's the link to the video on You Tube.

Open House Season In Full Swing
Here are some earrings that I custom made to go with this necklace that I did not make. The necklace was a great design and I had a lot of fun doing it! The necklace was made with freshwater pearls, amethyst beads and czech fired beads, and sterling silver components. I already had some matching fresh water pearls already in my stock but I had to go on a hunt for faceted amethyst beads and sterling silver components that would compliment the necklace. Here's what I came up with. I was very pleased! Along with the earrings

Silver Mobius Pendant
I was given a challenge recently to create a Mobius pendant. One thick enough to be engraved with a message. Mobius pendants that we've seen in catalogs are already engraved and a friend of mine was not interested in any of the messages that were offered so she asked me if I could make her a Mobius pendant so she could put her own message on it.
I didn't think it would be too bad so I made one practice pendant so far. I made this one out of 12 gauge fine silver wire. I hammered the wire and fused the ends together then shaped the twist so the pendant flows nicely. Then I polished it up really shiny. I think this first one turned o
ut great!! I'm really pleased with it. I don't think it is thick enough to get engraved so I ordered some 10 & 8 gauge wire to play with. Here is my first

Wire Wrapped Heart Stone
This was a cute custom order. The story was a girl was given a heart shaped stone from her boyfriend with a little note asking her to the Homecoming dance. The girls mom knew of the stone and snuck it away under her daughter's nose and brought it to me to be wrapped in silver in time for the Homecoming dance. This was all done without the daughter even noticing that the stone was missing! She loved it and
wore the pendant to the dance! I love this story! The pendant was fun to do to!

Wedding Photos!!
I've had the pleasure of creating some jewelry for a wedding this past August which I've posted the jewelry already but I wanted to post a picture from the wedding to show the girls wearing their jewelry. Here's a picture with Val (the bride) with Briana. I made Val her earrings to match her necklace that she had already and Briana's earrings and necklace. Here's a picture with Val, Briana and Stephanie. Then Val and Stephanie. Aren't they beautiful!!!

First Wedding Commission!!
They were a hit so she commissioned me to do necklaces and earrings for her girls. I was so excited since this would be my first wedding!
The girls dresses were a light blue so I thought that making cluster earrings with Swarovski blue and white pearls would be perfect along with a strung swarovski blue and white pearl illusion type necklaces.
Since I work with one of her bridesmaids I've had to keep this little secret for months because the bride wanted to surprise them with the jewelry at the rehearsal dinner.
Well, her wedding was last Sunday and the jewelry looked beautiful. Now I can post pictures on my blog so here they are.....

Forged Silver Wire Rings!
I've just started to use a torch and here are a couple of new rings I've created. They are hand forged using 12 gauge .999 pure silver wire. I've needed to anneal the wire a few times because it hardens as I hammer and work with it. It's a lot of fun using the torch so I've decided to start fusing silver wire rings. It's not as time consuming and has less steps t
han soldering which is great for me! The less steps the better!
This is my first ring. What's nice about this design is that it's adjustable to a degree!
The second ring was my attempt to make a snake. I think it turned out pretty well. Looks like "Grover" our pet snake!
